full-figure fashion - the good, the bad and the inexplicable

An interesting point was during a recent interview that I (read his story here) with Janel Royal, Calgary model curves did lifted.

As a size 14, nasty Royal shopping, she mentioned what a typical business of a young woman in the fashion, since many of these stores carry styles are a size 12 considered. And if they find that I have more size lines do these lines often have completely different styles regular lines (as well as pushed to the bottom of the store).

Why is that? Is there a reason why designers and chain stores feel the need to create a new line, rather than simply expand the size range of the current line?

I guess you could say that different styles look good on different characters, but should not the consumer decide what looks good on them?

And how would you get Calgary for women who are a size 12? Good, bad or somewhere in between?
